Time for the Upholstery
„I would now like to clean up and take care of the upholstery, especially the seats – which is the best way to proceed?” asks Jürgen M. from Berlin.
Richard Hanauer: First of all, thoroughly vacuum clean seats and floor. For basic cleaning of the seat covers we recommend the SONAX XTREME Upholstery and alcantara cleaner. With it you can be sure of a formula that is gentle on materials. It first dissolves the typical and unavoidable soiling – and, after a short working-in time, foam and dirt can be simply wiped away with a soft and absorbent cloth or sponge. After the seats have dried, they should be vacuum cleaned again. The “before and after effect” is really amazing. Ideally: Using a wet-dry cleaner to vacuum clean the still wet surfaces produces an even better cleaning effect. After cleaning the colours appear vibrant again, and that typical `musty´ odour has vanished. This effect is supported by the odour neutralising special formula. The SONAX Stain remover is ideal against stubborn stains on seat covers and interior textiles. Caution is advised with stain removers from drugstores: Such products can leach out the colours from the delicate surface fabrics in the car.
The SONAX Interior cleaner can be used on all of those components, which haven’t been dealt with previously, e.g. for the boot, the seat belts, the roof lining and, of course, for the many plastic surfaces. If a really thorough cleaning is being effected, it should commence with the roof lining. Afterwards the work is carried out from top to bottom. After all, who wants to sit on wet upholstery and then shampoo the roof lining?
