BMW Motorsport has passed another important milestone on the way to the start of the 2013 DTM season: On Saturday the BMW Welt in Munich (DE) was the stage for the spectacular launch of all eight BMW M3 DTM cars and drivers, Bruno Spengler (CA), Dirk Werner (DE), Augusto Farfus (BR), Joey Hand (US), Martin Tomczyk (DE), Andy Priaulx (GB), Marco Wittmann (DE) and Timo Glock (DE).

Many car owners want to preserve the paintwork after a thorough polish, and rightly so. A lot has changed in this field – in fact, the future of car care has already begun.

In the coming weeks, many car owners will certainly think about how to best and thoroughly remove typical winter dirt from paint surfaces.

Sebastian Vettel closed out the first pre-season test with the new RB9 in Jerez for SONAX Partner Infinity Red Bull Racing. He left the circuit saying that the new car’s good reliability across the four-day programme had been the key to a successful week.

Munich (DE), 25th January 2013. Timo Glock (DE) is returning to the BMW family and will line up for BMW Motorsport in the DTM in 2013. This completes the SONAX Partner´s squad of drivers for the new season. Alongside Glock, reigning DTM champion Bruno Spengler (CA), Augusto Farfus (BR), Joey Hand (US), Andy Priaulx (GB), Martin Tomczyk (DE), Dirk Werner (DE) and Marco Wittmann (DE) will take their places behind the wheel of the BMW M3 DTM.

These last weeks, there, no doubt, have been several car drivers thinking about the following question that Hubert M. from Berlin sent in: “The windscreen of my car is quite new, but already has some scratches, which are annoying particularly with oncoming lights. Are the scratches a result of ice scraping?”

Just these days the SONAX supported racer from Kempten signed the agreement for the 2013 season in the prestigious GP2 Series. On making his upward move, the 2012 runner-up in the GP3 Championship will be staying with Team Lotus GP. “Together, we’ve won second place in the GP3 Series and I think this is the right time to take the next career step,” says Daniel Abt. “Obviously, the GP2 Series is a different category and a big challenge. But I’m sure that we’ve got a package we can achieve quite a bit with. I want to thank my team and my partners for making this great opportunity possible for me.”

SONAX was named “Brand of the Century”. End of November 2012, the well respected german publisher Dr. Florian Langenscheidt personally presented the “Deutsche Standards brand award” at a festive evening event. An eminent expert advisory board decides on which brands are included in the compendium “Marken des Jahrhunderts – Leuchttürme auf dem Markenmeer” (Brands of the Century – Beacons in the Sea of Brands) published by Dr. Florian Langenscheidt.
