Car care products also bring brilliance to the household

Car care products are a good remedy for problems in cleaning and care of household items. German’s market leader SONAX summarised the best tips for household care.

Though developed for use in and on the car, many car care products have been proven useful for households. Why not? Just like in the car, at home there are glass, metallic and leather surfaces or even painted items that need to be cleaned and protected.

“SONAX Chrome & alupaste” also cleans ceramic hobs

There is, for example, one product – normally primarily used for the care of high-grade metallic parts on the car – that has a broad range of use in the kitchen: “SONAX Chrome & alupaste”. It can be used for the care of copper, brass, chrome and aluminium in the household. And it even tackles burnt on bits on ceramic hobs.

Paintwork polish lets plastic garden furniture look as new

Another “insider tip” solves the problem with white plastic garden furniture that has turned darker in the course of time. An ideal solution for this is a paintwork polish. Well-proven for paintwork care, it also lets garden furniture look as new: “SONAX Xtreme Polish & Wax”. During the polishing process, the highly effective polishing granules resolve into nano-sized particles and not only remove soiling but also restore colours. The formula’s high-quality wax protects the garden furniture against resoiling. In future, the furniture simply has to be washed off – and it looks as new. This paint polish also helps restore and preserve window frames. By the way: As a general rule, all polishes and waxes are suitable for glossy surfaces in the household. “Xtreme Polish & Wax”, for example, turns stainless steel sinks into glossy eye-catchers – the wax makes water run off better, limescale does not develop that quickly. This polish also preserves glass or plastic shower cubicle walls to avoid quick formation of water spots.

Removing rust stains from clothes with the wheel rim cleaner

“SONAX Rim cleaner full effect” is an acid-free wheel rim cleaner that makes short work of stubborn dirt on wheel rims. The speciality: It cleans without affecting the material – in contrast to some cheap acidic products that indeed dissolve dirt but can damage the surface. Hence, the wheel rim cleaner is also suitable for use in the household: The product removes rust stains from tiles, concrete or from kitchen worktops. Just spray on and rinse with water. Even when it sounds uncommon nonsense: This also works with rust stains on clothing.

Dirt eraser cleans floor

Extremely stubborn dirt, for example bird droppings or shoe marks on hardwood floors, tiles or doors can be removed with the “SONAX Dirt eraser”. Watch out “leather lovers”: Anyone using “SONAX Leather care lotion” for the care of the leather seats in the car does not need a second product for the leather couch. The lotion cleans and maintains the car interior, motorcycle clothing and covers of all seating furniture in the household. Vitamin E produces particular softness and protects the leather against becoming brittle. Bees and silicone waxes provide long-term protection and have a water-repellent effect.

Multi-function oils such as “SONAX SX90 PLUS” should not be missing in any household. It is used where French window or window hinges squeak or nuts are seized up. In addition, it removes tar stains and price labels.
