Munich, 21st March 2012. The exact allocation of the BMW drivers to the six Sonax co-branded BMW M3 DTM cars is really taking shape: Martin Tomczyk (DE) will line up in the BMW M Performance Parts M3 DTM in 2012. The car, featuring the classic BMW M design, will be run by BMW Team RMG. The news follows the recent announcements that Andy Priaulx (GB) will drive the Crowne Plaza BMW M3 DTM, while Bruno Spengler (CA) will contest the season in the BMW Bank M3 DTM. Dirk Werner (DE) will be behind the wheel of the E-POSTBRIEF BMW M3 DTM.
23/01/2012 - Dirk Werner completes BMW driver line-up for the DTM
All seats are now taken forBMW’s return to the DTM: Dirk Werner (DE) has been confirmed as the sixth driver of the SONAX Partner and will contest the 2012 DTM season at the wheel of a BMW M3 DTM. The 30-year-old is switching from GT racing to the DTM project. Last season, Werner successfully raced in the colours of BMW Team RLL in the American Le Mans Series, finishing third in the GT Drivers’ Championship.
12/10/2011 - SONAX partner RSC Mücke Motorsport: overall third at the GP3 Series with Nigel Melker
The German Team RSC Mücke Motorsport from Berlin ended its second GP3 Series season with a top three placing in the drivers’ ranking. The Dutchman Nigel Melker, who raced the second season for Peter Mücke’s and Ralf Schumacher’s racing stable, was on position three of the overall rankings after the season finale, which took place from 9th to 11th September at Monza. “A great result for Nigel and our whole crew,” team manager Peter Mücke said.

The title decision in the 2011 SEAT Leon Supercopa will have to wait for the season finale in Hockenheim. With Shane Williams’ fourth success of this season at the seventh race in Oschersleben the duel of Williams and Elia Erhart first seemed to enter the next round.

In the 2011 ATS Formula 3 Cup, which is supported by SONAX as series sponsor, a New Zealander has caused a sensation. The newcomer Richie Stanaway won 13 of 18 races and secured the championship with superior ease. Thus, he also won the SONAX Rookie Cup 2011.
12/10/2011 - Daniel Abt fights bravely in the Formula 3 Euro Series
The Formula 3 Euro Series race at the beginning of October in Valencia was disappointing for Daniel Abt. The 18-year-old did not get beyond the seventh place in the three races at the Spanish city.

At the end of September, BMW continued its preparations for the coming DTM season at the Hungaroring – jointly with the two other manufacturers represented in the DTM as at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz.
12/10/2011 - Arden International to take off at full throttle in 2012
Just as the whole season, the GP3 Series season finale in Monza was fair to middling for the Arden International team. In the last race, Arden pilot Mitch Evans from New Zealand put up a furious battle against the other drivers in the leading group. In lap 11, Evans was in the lead, he was tapped by James Calado, who re-joined the circuit via the kerbs
02/08/2011 - Team RSC Mücke Motorsport shines with SONAX
RSC Mücke Motorsport from Berlin supported by SONAX came back with mixed feelings from the GP3 Series’ fourth race in Silverstone, which was held in the scope of the main programme of Formula 1 Grand Prix of Greta Britain. Racing in the rain on Saturday, the British RSC-Mücke pilot Luciano Bacheta came in fifth, thus achieving the best placing in his season so far and with it the first points.
