Based on the established energy and CO₂ reduction targets, SONAX GmbH advocates for the responsible use of resources and actively promotes employee awareness of energy-efficient actions.
Energy management serves as a binding framework to ensure that processes, products, and decisions are consistently geared toward optimizing energy efficiency. Our energy principles underscore our clear commitment to a resource-conserving approach to energy and transparently communicate our values, goals, and measures both internally and externally.

The energy guidelines apply to:
all employees of SONAX GmbH
all locations and facilities of SONAX GmbH
all relationships with business partners of SONAX GmbH
The energy guidelines are directed at all internal and external stakeholders – employees, business partners, suppliers, customers, authorities, society, academia, as well as banks and insurance companies, and external service providers or business partners working for SONAX GmbH.
3. Objectives of Energy Management
The understanding of effective and sustainable energy management at SONAX GmbH, with the overarching goal of increasing energy efficiency, is pursued company-wide through the following activities:
Responsible handling of energy, continuous improvement of energy efficiency, and the promotion of sustainable solutions,
Regular review of our energy-related performance and active energy management to ensure long-term resource conservation, compliance with legal requirements, and achievement of defined energy goals, and
Mapping our processes and consumption to ensure transparent representation and monitoring of our goals.
4. Principles of Energy Management
The energy management of SONAX GmbH is firmly rooted in the company's activities and is continuously developed and expanded. Energy management and the associated activities comply with applicable German laws and standards, as well as relevant international laws and regulations.

Reduction of Energy Consumption and CO₂ Emissions
The energy management of SONAX aims to reduce energy consumption and the associated CO₂ emissions. The following specific and measurable goals have been defined:
Reduction of CO₂ emissions by 35% per ton of product by 2035
Transition to 100% renewable energy sources (“green electricity”) by 2030
Continous Improvement of Energy Efficiency
We are committed to implementing measures and processes to achieve ongoing and long-term improvements in energy efficiency.
Establishing and Reviewing Energy Targets
Energy targets are set, reviewed, and adjusted annually by the management board and the advisory committee to ensure sustainable improvement.

These guidelines are reviewed annually by the Energy Manager and the Sustainability Department, updated as needed, and approved during the strategic review meeting.
